Relocate to Manhattan

Manhattan is a robust city located in a thriving region of northeast Kansas where people are above all friendly, and life doesn't get in the way of day-to-day enjoyment of the people that surround us. We're located in the Flint Hills of Kansas with Fort Riley as a neighbor to the west, and Wamego (pop: 5,000) a short drive to the east. Residents and businesses realize the importance of military families to our community.

The outdoors are also an essential element of life in Manhattan, which is also known as The Little Apple®. You'll find an abundance of trails suitable for hiking, walking, running and biking. Konza Prairie is a popular destination for outdoor hikes. Water sports are prevalent at the state's two largest lakes: Tuttle Creek and nearby Milford Lake, with Pottawatomie Lake proximate to the area, too. Paddling spots, golf, fishing and zip-line runs are more activities found here.

Manhattan is home to Kansas State University, striving to be recognized as a top-50 public research university by 2025. More popular attractions include Flint Hills Discovery Center, Liquid Art Winery and Estate, Locked Manhattan and Sunset Zoo.
