While there is unfortunately no one-size-fits-all solution, we partnered last year with the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Kansas and Blue Cross Blue Shield on a small business solution in which several of our members participated. We are once again working with these two group in 2023.
The Chamber Blue plan can help some small businesses save on their premiums. But the main potential benefit is that with thousands of policies, officials are hopeful that the costs will be lower and more stable year-to-year. As was the case last year if you have interest and are NOT already enrolled, you must full out an interest survey. You can find the survey here. These surveys, which are due to be completed Aug. 18, will help determine rates.
One change this year is that the plan is only for employers with two to 50 employees. Previously, anyone over two employees was eligible. Anyone in the program with over 50 employees will be grandfathered in Chamber Blue.
Please let us know if you need more information or have questions.
One other item of note this week is a big congratulations to our Member Engagement Manager Samantha Ellison. Samantha finished 9th in the country in new member sales from June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023. The ranking is tracked by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives. This is the third year in a row Samantha has been in the Top 10 in our dues category.
If you see Samantha give her a big thank you.
