Each year at our annual banquet, we take the opportunity to showcase the results of the previous year through our annual report on activities. As you know, we just completed the 2022 annual meeting in which we ceremonially recognized the passing of 2021 to 2022.
As part of the process, we released the 2021 annual report. You can view it here.
As you might imagine, the highlight of the report was the breaking of the membership record including our tremendously successful membership drive. As a reminder, we hit 856 members at the end of 2021 which broke our previous high of 855. This included 105 new members as part of our three-day drive in October.
However, there were plenty of other activities to recognize, including the passage of a three-year program of work. The report outlines the strategies and metrics to keep the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce a leading community organization promoting growth and economic prosperity.
In addition to spotlighting major Chamber programs including leadership, the leader's retreat and awards luncheon, there were also highlights from our economic development, tourism, Hype and military relations programs.
I can not begin to tell you how much I appreciate our staff at the Chamber and the great work they do on your behalf. We have one of, if not the best, team in the country. I am thankful I get to be part of their team.
I also want to take the opportunity to thank Mark Bachamp for his leadership during the year. He did a great job prioritizing items for us and helping set the foundation for economic development for years to come.
